Gerard Mertens

• Professor of Financial Reporting & Analysis, RSM Erasmus University, Rotterdam and chair of the department Accounting & Control. Previously held positions as director of the NIB Capital Research Institute, and associate partner NIBC Corporate Finance, as well as several academic institutions.
• Has contributed to numerous national and international publications in the field of corporate governance, financial reporting financial analysis, and investor relations.
• Was involved in several research projects regarding Corporate Governance, among which reports on the Peters Committee (1998) and the Tabaksblat Code (2004).

Nicolai Knop

• His areas of expertise include executive compensation and corporate finance. During his professional career he has conducted numerous assignments for all kinds of clients ranging from board members and shareholders of publicly and privately held companies to private equity investors.
• He written various publications in the field of corporate finance, executive compensation, performance measurement and value creation in Dutch journals and daily newspapers.
• Within Shareholder Support Nicolai is responsible for the in-depth AGM and EGM analyses. Key highlights include amongst others the opposition against the split-up of ABN Amro , which was followed by a number of large Dutch investors, and the opposition against executive remuneration packages of, for example, Philips (2008) and Royal Dutch Shell (2009).
